The training and development section of our website provides practical support and advice on resources, layout of environments, considerations for supporting children’s play, child development and the role of the practitioner as well as practical ideas to support the implementation of the Revised Early Years Foundation Stage Learning and Development Requirements.
It is designed to offer down to earth, easy to access support and guidance that will empower and inspire everyone who works in the early years.
All of the information is enhanced with photographs of resources and/or children engaging in rich play experiences indoors and outdoors to highlight the ideas and suggestions. Most of the information is also available in a downloadable format.
All the material on the Training and Development Area of this website is regularly added to and updated.
We have a wealth of experience in providing childcare and education consultancy visits to early years settings; we welcome enquiries from all settings including Full Day-care, Sessional Care, Childminders, Holiday and Out of School Clubs.
Consultancy comprises visiting your setting where we observe practice and provide effective suggestions for development. We also provide verbal feedback to the Manager/EYP and then follow up all consultancy visits with a written, fully comprehensive development plan, including clear, agreed targets.
Advice and support is always provided in a positive and nurturing way, with a view to building and developing confidence in early years practice.
We have an extensive list of training courses that we are currently delivering to Early Years Settings including Childminding Groups, Day Nurseries, Pre-schools and Children’s Centres, both directly and through Local Authorities.
Our training courses are designed to inspire thinking and to impact on the practice of the delegates and the teams they work with.
In addition, we are very happy to provide bespoke training in line with individual requirements. Certificates of Attendance are provided for every delegate who attends our training courses.
All courses are presented through a variety of methods and include opportunities to engage with examples of materials and resources from practice.
Course content is subject to change and may differ slightly from the course outline.
